Starting concepts for Post Card series

Why a post card series? It seems most appropriate for the kind of research I'm doing... about location, noticing surroundings, collecting and documenting... designing. Isn't that what post cards are about? A snap shot of the surroundings of a particular location, trying to communicate it to someone who hasn't been there...??

Anyway, that's my train of thought about this at the moment.

Some STARTING concepts below... no judgment!

Hey, Sorry its taken me so long to post... just looking at your postcards and then thinking back to your critique. The main critism/feedback i had was that you are dealing with two completley idealogies/different ways of dealing with design in EYE and Fine Arts, and that exploring that conflict and where you fit into it seems really interesting. The post cards make sense if they were documenting 2 places of design incredibly foreign to each other, and your traveling between the two...

    Hey Matt,

    Thanks for your comment!

Interesting point about creating post cards for both environments. I'm not sure if making post cards about Fine Arts would be quite right. But I think I'm getting your drift about the conflict between the two being interesting and creating something that reflects BOTH sides of my design.

It's hard, cos I need to generate work for my student side in order to have these two sides morph(?), while at the same time the student work IS about these two areas negotiating... i think I'm just over thinking it...

At the moment I'm trying to re-design the posters I did in a new way... will aim to have something up by friday. Thoughts on those would be great!

How are your end of year projects coming together??
